What to include
The more of this you can tell us, the faster we can work out what went wrong.
- Which version of BuddyMKR you are on. It is in the title bar.
- Your Windows version.
- What you were doing when it went wrong, step by step if you can.
- For flashing problems, the log from the Flasher panel. You can select the text in it and copy it.
- For a Buddy that behaves oddly, export the
.buddyfile and mention that you have it. We will ask if we need it.
Before you write in
The Flasher does not see my cube
Nine times out of ten it is the cable. A lot of USB-C cables carry power only and no data, so the cube charges but never appears. Try a different cable first, then a different port.
My Buddy looks right in the app but not on the cube
Run the pre-flight check in BuddyMKR before exporting. It catches missing art for the minigame you picked, clips that are too long for the slot they play in, and animation keys nothing will ever reach.
My sounds are attached to the wrong frames
Sound cues are pinned to frame numbers. Reordering frames moves them along correctly, but inserting or duplicating a frame in the middle of a clip currently leaves later cues where they were. Add frames at the end where you can, and check the filmstrip afterwards.
The gyro minigame does nothing on my cube
Tilt is not wired up on hardware yet, so a gyro Buddy simply topples. The tilt slider in BuddyMKR is the working version for now.
